Drywall patch and paint touch-up in Rocklin, CA
Holes, dents and cracks patched, textured and painted so you can’t pick out the repair from across the room.
How I approach it
Patching drywall is easy. Patching it so you can’t see it is the actual job. The patch takes minutes. The time goes into feathering the mud out wide, matching the texture and getting paint that doesn’t show up as a shiny square. Most homes around here have orange-peel or knockdown texture, and matching it is what makes a repair disappear.
Drywall work happens in stages: fill, dry, sand, texture, prime, paint. Small patches can usually be finished in one visit with fast-setting compound. A bigger hole may need a short second visit for paint once everything has fully dried.
Good to know
Keep any leftover paint from the builder or your last painter. The exact color and sheen are what make a touch-up blend in. On a faded wall, the cleanest result is sometimes repainting that one wall corner to corner.
