Legal, Privacy & Accessibility
Rocklin Handyman Co — Rocklin, California.
Important notice: We are not a licensed contractor
Rocklin Handyman Co does not hold an active contractor's license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
We accept construction and repair work only when it qualifies for California's minor-work exemption in Business and Professions Code section 7048. Each job must meet all of these conditions:
- The total project price—including labor, materials, and other items—is under $1,000.
- The work is casual, minor, or inconsequential in nature.
- The work does not require a building permit.
- The work is not part of a larger project that exceeds the limit; we will not divide a larger project into smaller contracts.
- No additional workers are hired to perform the work.
If a project falls outside these limits, we will tell you and refer you to a licensed contractor. You can verify a contractor's license at cslb.ca.gov.
The dollar limit does not apply to non-construction services such as hauling, cleaning, pressure washing, move-out turnovers, and property documentation or site surveys.
1. Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of justcallahandyman.com (the “Site”), operated by Rocklin Handyman Co (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Who we are
Rocklin Handyman Co is a local handyman service based in Rocklin, Placer County, California. We are not a licensed contractor; see the notice at the top of this page.
Information on the Site is general
Descriptions of services, pricing, and availability are provided for general information and may change without notice. Nothing on the Site is a binding quote or professional advice. A price becomes binding only when we provide a written quote for a specific job and you accept it.
Submitting a request
Submitting a form, calling, texting, or emailing does not create a contract or reserve a time. A job is scheduled only when we confirm it with you. We may decline work that falls outside the limits described above.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to transmit unlawful, harassing, or deliberately false material; attempt unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; scrape or harvest contact information for solicitation; or interfere with the Site's normal operation.
Intellectual property
The Site's text, layout, graphics, and logo are owned by Rocklin Handyman Co unless otherwise credited. You may view, download, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not republish or resell them.
Third-party links
The Site may link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
No warranty for the Site
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes lies in Placer County, California.
2. Service Agreement
These terms apply to work performed by Rocklin Handyman Co for a customer (“you”). They take effect when you accept a quote or allow work to begin. You may print this section and sign it; a signed copy is not required for these terms to apply, but we will provide one on request.
2.1 Scope of work
We will perform the work described in the written quote or work order. Anything not described there is not included. Additional work will be quoted separately and is not automatically added to an existing job.
2.2 Job size limit
Each construction, repair, alteration, or improvement job is limited to a total under $1,000, including labor, materials, and other items. The work must not require a building permit or be part of a larger project, and no additional workers are hired to perform it. We will not split a larger project into separate agreements.
Non-construction services such as hauling, cleaning, pressure washing, move-out turnovers, and property documentation are quoted separately and are not subject to this construction-work limit.
2.3 Rates and minimum
| Labor rate | $100 per hour |
|---|---|
| Minimum charge | 2 hours ($200) |
| Quotes | Free, virtual or in person |
| If work finishes early | If the job takes less than 2 hours, we will use the remaining visit time on another small task when one is available and safe to perform. |
2.4 Materials
Materials and other items are included in the written quote and count toward the job-size limit in section 2.2. If you supply materials, we are not responsible for their suitability, condition, or failures caused by them.
2.5 Payment
Payment terms and accepted payment methods will be stated in the written quote or other written confirmation before work begins.
2.6 Scheduling and access
- Please provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area and working power or water if the job requires it.
- Please secure pets and move valuables and fragile items out of the work area before we arrive.
- Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change a scheduled visit. Any job-specific scheduling terms will be confirmed with you in writing.
- We may reschedule for weather, illness, or a safety condition at the property, and will give you as much notice as we can.
2.7 Concealed and pre-existing conditions
Quotes are based on conditions visible at the time of the estimate. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, code violations, prior workmanship, or conditions hidden behind finished surfaces. If we discover a concealed condition, we will stop and discuss it with you before continuing. It may change the quote or put the job outside the limits in section 2.2.
2.8 Work we do not perform
We do not accept work that requires a building permit or a specialty license we do not hold; involves structural or load-bearing work, roofing, gas lines, main electrical panels, or hazardous materials; or cannot be performed safely. We do not disturb or remediate lead-based paint, asbestos, or mold.
2.9 Workmanship concerns
Please contact us promptly if you have a concern about completed work. Any job-specific warranty will be stated in the written quote or other written confirmation.
2.10 Insurance
Rocklin Handyman Co is insured. We are not a licensed contractor and do not hold a contractor's license bond.
2.11 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability arising out of or relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost use, or loss of data, except where such limits are not allowed by law. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
2.12 Photographs
Photos you submit with a quote request are used to review and respond to that request. We will not use identifiable photographs of your property for marketing without your permission.
2.13 Independent contractor status
We perform work as an independent business. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.
2.14 Disputes
If something goes wrong, contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Placer County, California. This agreement is governed by California law.
2.15 Entire agreement and severability
The written quote or work order, together with this Service Agreement, is the entire agreement for the job and supersedes prior discussions. Changes must be in writing. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Acceptance
By signing below, or by allowing work to begin, you acknowledge that you have read this Service Agreement, understand that Rocklin Handyman Co is not a licensed contractor, and understand that each job is limited as described in section 2.2.

Nothing on this Site should be read as a claim that we are licensed or qualified to act as a licensed contractor.
4.2 Estimates and pricing
Prices on the Site are general and subject to change. An estimate is not a binding quote. The listed labor rate is $100 per hour with a 2-hour minimum; the cost of a particular job depends on its scope, access, and condition.

Any visual, non-invasive property documentation or site survey is for planning, estimating, or recordkeeping. It is not a code-compliance review or a substitute for inspection by a licensed home inspector or building official.
4.5 Hazardous materials
We do not test for, disturb, remove, or remediate lead-based paint, asbestos, mold, or other hazardous materials. Homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. If we encounter a suspected hazardous material, we will stop work and tell you.
4.6 Results
We take care with every job, but cannot guarantee a particular result where it depends on the age, condition, materials, or prior workmanship of a property.
4.7 Testimonials and photographs
Reviews and photographs shown on the Site reflect specific experiences and are not a promise that another job will produce the same result.
